Reine Deer is a new luxury ski brand/design studio. Using real 24K Gold leaf and powder, precious Japanese lacquer, mother-of-pearl, etc., luxury hand-made craftsmanship skis, just like for the Queen (Reine in French).
Our ski is made by a ski-making Master having made skis for world cup national team of Czechoslovakia. We make build-to-order skis, carefully one by one, relevant to world cup skis level.
Urushi (Japanese lacquer) has been highly valued by people like Maria Theresa. In Japan it was only for a few nobles. Makie is a long- time consuming technique where finely ground gold and silver powder, solidified by the lacquer to be polished to a glow. Decorating with gold leaf is by flattening and stretching to 1g of gold into 1m² at roughly 1/10,000 of a millimeter.
Reine Deer skis start making very smooth turns, but you would still get a solid hold of them in the middle of the turns. So they will go with any skiing resort and variety of snow conditions whether soft or hard.
