Since its beginnings in 1974, insulation is part of Marmot’s DNA. Therefore, we develop high-quality and innovative products made from down or synthetic insulation which are made for a broad range of activities both in alpine regions and in urban areas. With the West Rib Parka and Hype Down Hoody, Marmot presents two brand new technical and fully featured highlights.
West Rib Parka
Named for the challenging route up Mt. Denali first identified by legendary photographer Bradford Washburn, the West Rib Parka represents the pinnacle of technical insulation. Marmot’s cutting-edge WarmCube Construction technology employs a unique 3D construction to multiply the insulating power of down by conforming to the shape of your body and trapping warm air next to your skin. Combined with an additional layer of 40g synthetic insulation, the West Rib is the perfect alpine climbing warmth layer for belays and bivys.
Hype Down Hoody
Wide baffle is back. The Hype Down combines the versatility and lightweight warmth of a modern down sweater with the serious warmth of an expedition-ready down jacket. Loaded with 800-fill goose down with a soft, lightweight yet weather-resistant shell fabric, the Hype can be worn casually around town but works seriously in the mountains. Available in Men’s and Women’s hoody and jacket styles.
