Sleek, sporty and sustainable. The new UP range of urban backpacks from Deuter not only looks modern, the materials they’ve used are also forward-thinking.
The new UP series combines life in the city with the natural environment. On the one hand, the UP Stockholm, UP Sydney and UP Seoul packs are geared toward life in the city: they have plenty of space, good internal organisation and clever compartment configuration. But on the other hand, made in a resource-efficient way, they are also focused in the environment.
The fabrics used for Deuter’s UP series are made entirely from recycled PET bottles. Each pack uses between 35 and 40 bottles. In addition to repurposing single-use plastics, it also means a substantial reduction in both the water and crude oil used in production. The resultant fabrics are certified by the bluesign® Standard and the GRS (Global Recycled Standard), and the packs themselves are also bluesign®-certified products.
The UP series is made without any PFCs. And the same goes for the entire Deuter collection — free from PFCs from 2020 onwards.
The UP Stockholm and UP Sydney both have 22 L capacity. The UP Seoul has 16 L capacity but can be extended by 10 L. All three models come in a unisex fit and are available in 6 different colours.
